INTO MY PICTURE That's me--there on the left, That was taken five years ago. We all ran in a pack, I remember that life was slow. Whose hand snapped this shot? Who saw me this way that fall? Looking at myself, I don't recognize me at all. But now I'm ready To step out And into my picture.
INTO MY PICTURE
That's me--there on the left,
That was taken five years ago.
We all ran in a pack,
I remember that life was slow.
Whose hand snapped this shot?
Who saw me this way that fall?
Looking at myself,
I don't recognize me at all.
But now I'm ready
To step out
And into my picture.
Used to fade in the back, No one could see my face Unless it would be by Somebody else's grace; A keen eye posing the shot, "A little more to the left." I'd squirm; blur the frame Trying to look their best. But now I'm ready To step out And into my picture.
Used to fade in the back,
No one could see my face
Unless it would be by
Somebody else's grace;
A keen eye posing the shot,
"A little more to the left."
Trying to look their best.
So look out--here I come Toting my lens and frame. I'll take credit for this; It's me who will take the blame. No one else will say How they think I should look. I'll be calling the shots; It's me who will write this book. Because I'm ready To step out And into my picture.
So look out--here I come
Toting my lens and frame.
I'll take credit for this;
It's me who will take the blame.
How they think I should look.
I'll be calling the shots;
It's me who will write this book.
Because I'm ready
